What is the recommended distance and duration for a therapy session?
We recommend a distance of 15 to 50 cm for 10 to 20 minutes on the targeted area. Longer sessions lose effectiveness as cells stop absorbing light after 20 minutes. However, the further away you are, the longer the session should be asintensity decreases with distance. Exact numbers vary; listen to your body to find the best settings.
Can I wear clothes or does the light need to be direct to my skin?
While red & near-infrared light therapy is most effective when the light directly contacts the skin, you can wear light, breathable clothing that allows the light to penetrate.
However, for optimal results, it's recommended to expose the targeted area of the skin/body directly to the light.
How often should red light therapy be used?
Daily to maximize benefits. It takes only a few minutes. If daily use isn't possible, aim for at least 3 times a week.
